MYOPIA

Myopia progresses as the
eye grows longer

Myopia happens when the eye grows too long front to back, so light focuses in front of the retina. It usually starts at ages 6–14 and can worsen into the early 20s. MiSight is designed to correct vision while helping manage eye elongation.

What age can children use it?

Under the US FDA approval criteria, it's for nearsighted children starting at ages 8–12. For children and teens with myopia, suitability is decided after an exam.

How long are they worn each day?

About 10 hours a day during the daytime.

Do the lenses need cleaning?

They're daily disposables—a new lens every day—so no cleaning is needed. Once removed, a lens is thrown away.

Can they be worn while sleeping?

No. Sleeping in a daily lens can cause a serious eye infection, so it must be removed before bed.

When is the power changed?

Lenses are prescribed 30 days at a time. We test at each visit; if vision hasn't changed, the power stays the same, and if it has, we change it.

Can children who can't wear Dream Lens use it?

Yes, children who find Dream Lens difficult can consider MiSight. We examine their eyes and choose the right option together.
